This Senior Product Manager joins the Automotive & Repair sector and will play a critical role in ensuring the investment we place in our products drives positive value to our Members, Customers and Thatcham Research. Once settled in the role, you’ll be responsible for managing the development of your product portfolio, from defining the value proposition and managing product development through to go-live.

As the Senior Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- Product Roadmaps: Create and maintain up-to-date product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business expectations and software development schedules.
- Product Development: Manage the development and implementation of new products and enhancements, including project plans, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with members and customers to understand their needs and ensure our products exceed their expectations.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with key stakeholders to align product activities with the business plan.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify new opportunities and strategic solutions through research, product performance, customer engagement, and market trends.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor product performance throughout the lifecycle, responding to market conditions and competitor activity to maintain our market position.
Skills & experience that will set you up for success in this role:
- Proven B2B software or data Product Management, delivering product roadmaps that release reliable and regular value to the market.
- Facilitating focus groups of users from competing customers and finding common ground
- Agile Product Roadmap Management
- Track record of creating segment-focused value propositions that align to capabilities.
- Working with tools such as Power BI to provide ongoing transparency over product performance.
- Automotive industry experience, particularly working with Vehicle Manufacturers would be a distinct advantage, but not essential.
- Results and process-oriented mindset, with demonstrable experience coordinating disparate stakeholders to deliver results.

When we work
Our standard working hours are 8:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, 8:30 – 15:45 Fridays. (talk to us about flexible working if this doesn’t quite suit you!)

We understand the benefits of remote and in-person collaboration, and therefore have a hybrid working model that suits most roles. You’ll be expected to work from our office in Thatcham at least two days per week.

With an on-site Crash Laboratory, Repair Technology Centre and Training Academy, our research expertise is driving some of the very latest automotive developments in technology, materials and standards in this fast moving and highly technical industry. Our active safety track at Gamston Airport is one of the leading accredited Euro NCAP testing facilities, trialling and assessing the very latest developments in vehicle safety and assistance technologies.
