Internal Job Title: Data Intelligence Analyst

We have an opportunity for a Data Visualisation Analyst to join the Enterprise Data team and support the delivery of Management Information (MI) and Business Intelligence (BI) products to our business and customers. We’d like you to help us deliver best practice and centre of excellence for all our MI & BI activity.
You’ll be performing activities and utilising analytical tools to discover trends and insights from data to improve business processes and to recognize insights within the automotive and motor insurance marketplace. Your North Star will be customer focus and value driven delivery of quality data products.
Key responsibilities:
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their evolving requirements and ensure the data solutions meet their needs.
Data Preparation: Assemble and refine datasets to provide maximum flexibility and support for various analytical needs.
Data Visualization: Design and develop intuitive Power BI dashboards and reports that tell a compelling story from start to finish.
User Experience Design: Create a seamless user experience that guides users through the data journey, making insights easily accessible and understandable.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously enhance the storytelling experience.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to users to ensure they can effectively interact with the dashboards and reports.
Skills & experience that will set you up for success in this role:
Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in Power BI development and data storytelling.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and data modeling.
Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
Creative Thinking: Ability to think creatively and design visually appealing and informative dashboards.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Additional skills we’d welcome in our team:
Data Management experience including Data Modelling (3NF, Data Vault)
Familiarity with Data Management principles (incl. data quality and governance)
Understanding of ETL process and data warehousing concepts
About you: You’re an experienced Data Analyst with a passion for visual communication and data storytelling, with a desire to learn, build and expand your skillset. You enjoy using statistical / mathematical methodologies to answer key questions with a focus on driving the business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement, efficiency and productivity. Your practical experience and analytical mind-set, ensure you are comfortable handling complex, high-volume, high dimensional data whilst you enjoy maintaining an advanced knowledge of trends affecting the industry. When we work
Our standard working hours are 8:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, early finish on Friday - 8:30 - 15:45 (Talk to us about flexible working if this doesn’t quite suit you – we take work-life balance seriously!)

We understand the benefits of remote and in-person collaboration and therefore have a hybrid working model – you’ll be expected to work from our office in Thatcham at least two days per week.
