Academy Operations
We ensure the safe and efficient running of Thatcham Research Automotive Academy, where delegates aged 16-65+ are trained on the safe repair of accident-damaged vehicles.

We make sure that everyone, whether delegates or trainers, are exactly where they need to be, equipped with the right information and resources. Ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Academy Operations
We have a diverse team who all bring their unique skills and talents. We problem-solve as a team, with regular communication being essential, especially for field-based colleagues. Ensuring everyone feels involved and part of decision-making is crucial.

Course Development: identify and develop new training courses for bodyshops and insurer members.
Course Updates: ensure existing course content remains technically relevant.
Course Delivery: on-site training at our Academy, using the very latest technology and vehicles, or online via Teams.
Apprentice Support: assisting apprentices in their workplace as they progress through their learning journey.

Our skills & experience
Curriculum Development & Design: understanding the science behind learning, curriculum creation, and producing materials for different learning styles.
Technical Training: subject matter expertise in Paint, Panel, VDA or MET, ability to simplify complex concepts, and provide constructive feedback.
Development Coaching: understanding individual motivation, effective questioning, and offering appropriate support.

Academy Quality & Compliance
We coordinate all aspects of the Academy, seamlessly managing everything from the day-to-day scheduling of courses and apprentice onboarding to handling apprentice funding claims and compliance. We're also here to provide robust learner support and monitoring, track learner progress, and manage all data and reporting.
Collaboration and effective communication is essential for success. We work closely with all other teams within the academy, engaging in specific task-focused meetings, problem-solving sessions, and whole academy meetings to ensure everything runs smoothly.
