Thanks to constantly evolving technologies, there is a continuous need to focus on our internal business systems, ensuring that they remain relevant, fit for purpose and reap maximum benefit from investment. For this purpose, we have recently created a dedicated team of Business Systems experts and we now require a Business Systems Manager to lead and provide support to this new and evolving team.

The task of the Business Systems Manager will be a hands-on role, supporting the analyses and delivery of off-the shelf and bespoke business systems whilst providing support, leadership and clear direction to the team. This will involve partnering with internal stakeholders, developing and directing the execution of roadmaps and implementing new systems as required.

This newly created position offers a great opportunity to manage a supportive and collaborative team, while working with modern technology, architectures and key partners such as Microsoft. So, if you have excellent mentoring skills, combined with previous success implementing internal systems and are excited about taking this new role forward, we want to hear from you.

  • Supporting internal users of systems, offering guidance and providing recommendations
  • Collaborating with the wider technology and digital teams to manage system implementation as well as any required training options and user support
  • Collecting and reviewing data on existing systems, consolidating them down and decommissioning those no longer required
  • Working with suppliers and providing guidance on how legacy systems can be kept up to date

As the Business Systems Manager, your skills and experience will include:

  • Commercial experience and success implementing and delivering internal systems
  • Previous success managing technical roadmaps of changes to internal systems
  • Excellent Systems Analysis skills, including requirements elicitation and analysis, backlog management, user experience research and wireframing, and technical gap analysis
  • Previous commercial experience working as a Systems Analyst or Technical Product Owner
  • Ability to facilitate focus groups of users from disparate departments and find common ground
  • Experience working with tools such as Google Analytics and Power BI for the purpose of providing ongoing transparency over system performance
