About The Role

We are in the exciting process of securing a new site location in North Nottinghamshire. To help us establish the new site and support the smooth transition of key business operations, we are recruiting an experienced Facilities Consultant to join us on a temporary contract. 

This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to be involved in establishing a brand new, world class, automotive testing centre.  Substantial practical experience in building maintenance and services within a similar working environment will be essential.

As the Facilities Consultant your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Reviewing and assessing existing buildings, structures, facilities and services at the new site, ensuring that facilities meet the current and future operations, plans and standards
  • Providing feedback and reports detailing key objectives following site inspections (as detailed above) for consideration by senior leadership, proposing improvements and enhancements
  • Identify and satisfying the needs of existing tenants
  • Developing a facilities management strategy and long term options for site, outlining the practical steps and considerations to support achievement and future plans
  • Identifying and implementing day-to-day site management policies and preventative maintenance procedures to improve operating and working conditions, creating a safe and comfortable environment for colleagues and customers
  • Day-to-day property obligations from an operational, legal and H&S perspective

As the Facilities Consultant your skills and experience will include:

  • Higher education qualification in building and facilities management or similar, with membership of a professional body preferred
  • Significant background and experience in a complex facilities role within a similar working environment
  • In-depth knowledge of facilities with substantial practical experience in building maintenance and services
  • Excellent understanding of building leases and financial costing for lifecycle. 
  • Ability to estimate costing for remedial works or replacement and engineering services.
  •  Ability to manage a portfolio of facility users including balancing the current and future business needs of tenants
  • Previous experience developing facilities and buildings to reflect business needs

Location: North Nottinghamshire 

Salary/Benefits:  Negotiable based on skills/experience + competitive benefits including a 10% non-contributory pension scheme

Contract: Temporary, approx. 6 months

Working Hours: Core business hours are 8.30 - 16.30 Monday - Thursday and 8.30 - 15.45 Fridays however, both part time and full time arrangements will be considered.
