Maybe you’re an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor or Automotive Engineer looking to move into an office based, data driven role? The Vehicle Data Management team play a key role in managing vehicle data, used widely by our stakeholders to inform key business decisions. As the Motor Engineer – Repair Data Delivery, you’ll be responsible utilising your motor vehicle knowledge and experience to validate the quality and content of this data.

This is a key position that will enable us to maintain the quality and relevance of data used by motor insurers and our repair sector customers to help facilitate the safe and effective repair of modern cars for both the UK and international markets.

As the Motor Engineer – Repair Data Delivery your responsibilities will involve:

  • Utilising your vehicle knowledge to ensure that vehicle data supplied from both internal and external sources is accurate, so that it be relied upon by our stakeholders
  • Delivering accurate and timely data to internal commercial and product teams to support product and business development decisions
  • Measuring the quality of data outputs and where possible, identify efficiencies and deficiencies in both the sourcing and recording of data so that improvements can be made for the future
  • Developing key business relationships with data suppliers to ensure continuity and quality of data supply

 

As the Motor Engineer – Repair Data Delivery your skills and experience will include:

  • Working as an engineer within a vehicle damage repair environment
  • Working knowledge of industry software including parts and estimating systems
  • Experience working with vehicle data, ideally with previous responsibility for accurate data quality control
  • Working knowledge of vehicle damage assessment methods, systems and processes
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages including Word and Excel

What we’re looking for in you:

You’re an experienced motor engineer, vehicle damage assessor or similar, with an interest in quality assuring (QA) vehicle data. You enjoy working with others and have a sound ability to build excellent working relationships with both colleagues and external stakeholders.

Your excellent attention to detail enables you to review data and identify errors, whilst your industry knowledge and inquisitive nature empowers you to find suitable solutions and rectify errors.

Location: Thatcham, Berkshire

Salary:  Circa £31,000, dependent on skills/experience + competitive benefits package & a 10% non-contributory pension scheme

Working hours: 8.30 - 16.30 Monday - Thursday and 8.30 - 15.45 Fridays
