About The Role

Are you an experienced Product Owner looking for an opportunity that will support and empower you to become a ‘go to’ product expert? Do you have experience of best practice Agile product development processes? Here at Thatcham Research, we are looking a passionate individual such as this, to join us on a full time, permanent basis.

Join us as a Product Owner and you will quickly become highly visible, working on our online products and services within the repair sector of the automotive industry. Reporting directly to the Product Lead, this role would suit an existing Product Owner looking for an exciting new opportunity to enhance and develop their experience.

As a Product Owner your main responsibilities will involve:              

  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of customer needs across designated product sets in order to support future developments
  • Generating analysis and insights from data trends and using this knowledge to advise the business, improve products and support operations
  • Working closely with management and prediction teams in order to manage and advise on ongoing product enhancements
  • Responsibility for creating and maintaining product backlogs for designated products in order to enable a controlled stream of product developments
  • Ensuring all products deliver maximum return on investment and that they are aligned with the overall product strategy
  • Being the product data expert and “go to” person to ensure informed communications and decisions are made across the organisation

As a Product Owner your skills and experience will include:

  • Previous experience working as a Product Owner or Business Analyst
  • Experience working on software development projects from concept to delivery
  • The ability to identify commercial opportunities for new products and bring them to market
  • Ability to apply agile analysis techniques, specifically for defining and creating succinct user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Ability to arrange and facilitate requirements gathering workshops, conduct customer interviews and perform user-story mapping
  • Ability to write customer-centric requirements (such as epics and user stories), prioritise these items, and manage them within the product backlog
  • Experience of working with product roadmaps to deliver effective solutions in a timely manner
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Visio
