Thatcham Research is looking for a Data Intelligence Associate to join our growing Enterprise Data team. We have an opportunity for a Data Intelligence Associate to join the Enterprise Data team and support the delivery of Management Information (MI) and Business Intelligence (BI) products to our business and customers. We’d like you to help us deliver best practice and centre of excellence for all our MI & BI activity.
You’ll be performing activities and utilising analytical tools to discover trends and insights from data to improve business processes and to recognize insights within the automotive and motor insurance marketplace. Your North Star will be customer focus and value driven delivery of quality data products.
What you'll do:
- Create Insightful Visualisations: Use tools like Power BI to develop user-friendly dashboards, charts, reports, and infographics.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver on them.
- Generate Performance Reports: Extract and analyse data to produce regular performance reports for various stakeholders.
- Identify Trends: Spot patterns in data and communicate key insights to support data-driven decision-making.
- Support Data Intelligence Analysts: Assist in research and evidence gathering to enhance departmental processes.
Skills & experience that will set you up for success in this role:
- Basic knowledge of data management and analysis principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Passion for data and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent technical/vocational experience.
- Experience with agile data delivery (desirable)

When we work
Our standard working hours are 8:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, early finish on Friday - 8:30 - 15:45 (Talk to us about flexible working if this doesn’t quite suit you – we take work-life balance seriously!)
How we work
We understand the benefits of remote and in-person collaboration, and therefore have a hybrid working model – you’ll be expected to work from our office in Thatcham at least two days per week.

With an on-site Crash Laboratory, Repair Technology Centre and Training Academy, our research expertise is driving some of the very latest automotive developments in technology, materials and standards in this fast moving and highly technical industry.
Our active safety track site is one of the leading accredited Euro NCAP testing facilities, trialling and assessing the very latest developments in vehicle safety and assistance technologies.
